Chatham is a sandy bottom pool and the water is not always clear.  Because of the nature of the pool, the pool manager does require that swimmers have a 'deep water' badge or are accompanied by an adult if they would like to swim in the deep end (usually before a Wednesday meet when the pool is already open).Thank you.

From GSP

• Take GSP North to exit 142. Go through the RIGHT HAND TOLL BOOTHS.

• Travel Rt 78 West and follow signs for Rt 24 WEST.

• Follow Rt 24 West to exit 7B-A (on right about 1/8 mile past JFK Parkway) CAUTION: DO NOT PASS EXIT OR YOU WILL HAVE TO TRAVEL ABOUT 5 MILES TO THE NEXT EXIT TO TURN AROUND)

• As you exit Rt 24 MAKE SURE you follow signs for 7A, NOT 7B. (7A is marked Madison) Follow this onto Rt 124W. This will put you on Main Street in Chatham.

• Continue to 5th traffic light and make a left onto Lafayette Ave.

From 287N

  • Take 287N to exit 35 – "Rt 124, South Street, Madison Ave" in Morristown.
  • Turn Left at traffic light at end of ramp, then make first Right
  • Proceed about 1/8 mile and turn Right onto Rt 124 East.
  • Follow 124 East Approx 5.3 miles through Madison, into Chatham.
  • Turn Right onto Layfayette Ave. (Just before Lafayette Ave, there is a small shopping center on right with a CVS)
  • (Follow ** below)

  • Follow Lafayette about 1.5 miles (you will pass through 1 light about ¾ mile up hill)
  • At top of hill Road turns to the right and then to the left and goes past Chatham H.S.
  • Follow to 2nd right past H.S (Spring Street). Turn Right
  • Continue for 1 block to School Street. Turn Right. Turn left into Parking lot.
  • Colony Pool is on the Corner of School and Spring Streets, across from Parking lot.
