The New Jersey Swimming and Diving conference is an organization established to provide a safe, fun and fair competition environment forchildren and young adults in the central New Jersey area. NJSDC provides the framework under which teams compete during the summer months. These competitions include a number of Dual Meet Competitions, League Team Championships, Individual Conference Championships, as well as vaious member sponsored competitions and fun activities.

In 2010, NJSDC is comprised of 31 teams which are broken out into 4 competitive leagues. The composition of these leagues may change from year to year in an attempt to ensure that competitors are evenly matched given the varying size and skill levels of the teams involved. NJSDC member teams are each unique in their own way. While one team may be home to swimmers that swim competetivly throughout the entire year, other teams my be comprised of "summer only" swimmers. Our goal is to provide as fair and enjoyable a competition environment as we can. As the composition of our teams change from season to season, so do the league sizes and alignments. This is done as we strive for a fair and balanced competetive environment.

The NJSDC governing board is elected annually and has 9 positions. These include: General Chair Person, Secretary, Treasurer, Swimming Coordinator, Diving Coordinator and A, B C and D League Coordinators. The governing board is responsible for maintaining and implementing conference rules and regulation, general adminstration and issue escalation and resolution.

The three most important components of the NJSDC are:
Swimmers
Eligible swimmers on participating team are ages 5 - 18. Our swimmers range in abilities varying from beginner swimmers to USA and YMCA Champions.
Coaches
These hard working people dedicate their time and energy to the kids to help them reach their goals and true potentials as athletes.
Parents
The conference could not exist without the support of our parents. The parent volunteers are the backbone of all of our competitive encounters. It is for this reason that we strive to train and support them in the mechanics of running swimming and diving events.

NJSDC welcomes ideas and suggestions as to how to improve the experience we provide our member teams. To contact us with suggestions, Questions or comments, please select the Contact Us tab on the right of this page.
